About Tree Gone LLC
Our Story
My passion for the outdoors—and tree work in particular—started early. As a teenager, I took down my first tree with my cousin while our family was away at church. With little more than bailing twine, a Sawzall, and a lot of determination, we carefully dismantled a large walnut tree that had been leaning over the house. We even hauled the trunk to the fire pit using a riding lawnmower. When asked why we didn’t use the tractor, we simply replied, “Because we weren’t allowed to when you weren’t home.”
That experience sparked more than just a sense of accomplishment—it ignited a lifelong calling. Since then, every time I step up to a tree, I’m reminded of that day. It laid the foundation for the work I do now: combining respect for nature, technical skill, and a commitment to doing the job right.
Fittingly, my last name, Trowbridge, originates from Old English and means “tree bridge”—a felled trunk used as a rough crossing. I like to think it was meant to be.
